Pest Control in Melbourne
LICENCE CHECKED BEFORE QUOTING
Using commercial pesticides is licensed work in Victoria, and the licence exists because these chemicals share your house with your kids and pets. Pest controllers quoting through Octacon Trades have had their licence details reviewed first.
Different pests need genuinely different treatments, so name the pest if you can, or describe what you are seeing and where. Termites are their own world: inspection first, treatment second, never the other way around.

Common questions
Pest Control questions, answered straight
How long do we need to stay out after a spray?
Depends on the product; a common guide is until surfaces are dry, often a few hours, longer for some treatments and for households with babies, pregnancy or asthma. Your pest controller states re-entry time on the day; ask before booking if it matters for pets.
I think I have termites. What should I NOT do?
Do not spray them or disturb the workings. Household spray scatters the colony and makes professional treatment harder. Photograph what you found, close it up, and book an inspection.
Is an end-of-lease flea treatment required?
If you kept a pet, most Victorian leases require a professional flea treatment at exit, with a receipt for the agent. Book it after the carpets are steam cleaned and before you hand back keys.
Are treatments safe for pets?
Modern treatments used correctly are low-risk, but fish tanks, birds and reptiles need specific precautions. List your pets in the job description so the treatment plan and re-entry times account for them.
