Getting a quote, answered straight
How much does it cost to get quotes?
Getting quotes is free for customers, and so is the job page that tracks them. You only pay the tradie you choose, at the price agreed in their quote. There are no booking fees and no subscription.
How many quotes will I get?
Up to five per job. We cap quotes so you get a real choice without being buried, and so tradies are not wasting time on jobs already flooded with responses. How many you receive depends on who covers your postcode and is free.
How quickly do the quotes come in?
Tradies covering your postcode are notified as soon as your job is posted, and emergencies go to the top of their feed. How fast quotes arrive depends on who is available — the right tradie is worth a short wait, and the job page tells you the moment one lands.
Do I need an account?
No account needed. When you submit a job you get a private link to your job page, where quotes appear as they come in. Add your email and we will send the link there too, so you never lose it.
Are the tradies licensed?
Licensed trades in Victoria — plumbing, electrical, gas, refrigerant and pest control — are checked: a tradie’s licence details are reviewed before they can quote that work, and verified tradies carry a badge on their quote. For unlicensed trades like cleaning or rubbish removal, you still see each tradie’s business details and reviews.
Is my address and phone number safe?
While quoting, tradies see only your suburb and the job details — not your name, phone or street address. Your full contact details are shared only with the one tradie you accept. We never sell your details or hand them to call centres.
What areas do you cover?
Tradies work across metropolitan Melbourne, from the inner suburbs out to the growth corridors. Enter your postcode and we notify the tradies who cover it. If nobody local is available for your job, we will tell you rather than leave you waiting.
Can I get quotes for more than one job?
Yes. A bathroom might need a plumber, a tiler and a waterproofer — submit each as its own job and compare quotes for each. Once you have done the first, each extra job only takes a minute.
